Act Branding Proposal
ACT is a formal specification language developed for Ethereum smart contracts. It sits at the intersection of trust, logic, and execution - values echoed in its brand identity system. What's the wordmark logo without experimenting with negative space
Logo Concept
The ACT wordmark is the base of the brand - bold, direct, and semantic.
The “C” is expressed in negative space, emphasising what’s seen and verified - a subtle nod to how ACT inspects bytecode under the hood.
The overall geometry reflects rigour and modularity - qualities essential to formal verification.
Ethereum-Rooted Logomark
The triangular “A” includes a diamond split by an axis, referencing:
The Ethereum symbol in a distilled form
Syntax trees or compiler paths are key to understanding smart contract behaviour
This logomark is iconic enough for standalone use across GitHub, stickers, or docs.
Color System
Primary palette: Deep teal, digital green, and neutral off-white.
Gradient palette: A transition from quantum blue to bytecode green, with purple accents.
Dark mode is WAGC-compliant, ensuring contrast and readability.
Typography
Bricolage Grotesque is used for headers and offers structure and slight eccentricity.
Inter - a neutral, developer-friendly font for UI and body copy.
Together, they balance formality and friendliness - ideal for a dev-facing tool.
Brand Architecture
Primary Logo: Full ACT wordmark with logomark embedded
Secondary Logo: Minimal ACT, flat or gradient-filled
Logomark: Standalone “A” with Ethereum mark, optimised for icons
Pattern System: Fractalized Ethereum shapes used in backgrounds and UI dividers
