Learnify
AI powered tool to redefine learning! Learnify is an integrated learning platform that empowers users to discover how they learn best - whether through podcasts, articles, interactive courses, or games. Designed for college students and early job seekers, Learnify breaks free from the one-size-fits-all mold of traditional education.
Project Overview:
Learnify is an integrated learning platform that empowers users to discover how they learn best - whether through podcasts, articles, interactive courses, or games. Designed for college students and early job seekers, Learnify breaks free from the one-size-fits-all mold of traditional education.
Platforms: Web + Mobile
Unique Selling Point:
The global e-learning market is booming, but personalization is still missing. With AI and adaptive content delivery, Learnify is uniquely positioned to lead this shift toward intentional, learner-first education.
Target Audience:
College students and fresh graduates looking to upskill
Early job seekers trying to bridge the gap between academia and industry
Traction & Vision:
We’re building a platform that doesn’t just deliver content-where every learner finds their path, pace, and purpose.
Problem Statement:
College students and early job seekers experience frustration and disengagement when trying to upskill through traditional learning platforms because these platforms follow a rigid, one-size-fits-all structure that doesn’t adapt to individual learning styles, leading to ineffective learning, low retention, and a lack of real-world readiness.
Challenges:
One-size-fits-all approach:
Most platforms ignore individual learning styles, leading to low engagement and poor retention.
Content overload, zero guidance:
Learners are overwhelmed by choices without knowing what suits them best.
Lack of real-world readiness:
Many courses focus on theory, not the practical skills needed for jobs.
Low motivation & drop-off rates:
Without personalization or progress tracking, users often quit halfway.
Limited accessibility & flexibility:
Rigid formats don’t work for everyone, especially those balancing studies, work, or limited attention spans.
Design Process:
Used the Design Thinking approach for solving this problem. To practice design thinking, we followed the process below.
Discover Phase:
I used the design thinking approach to solve this problem. To practice design thinking, we followed the process below.
Quantitative Research
Created the user surveys to determine our target audience and to gain a basic understanding of our users. About 33 responses were recorded. Based on the responses, here are the key insights presented below
The survey confirmed that 89% believe using multiple modes (e.g., videos, podcasts, articles) enhances their overall/ wholesome learning experience
Most people can take one learning session with attention within 20- 40 minutes.
The survey also confirmed that most of the users prefer late-night deep learning study.
Most people struggle with maintaining consistency within a course/topic.
Competitive Analysis
In order to get a solid understanding of how our competitors are doing in the market and to lay out a solid foundation, we did a competitor analysis, which consisted of direct and indirect competitors.
I found that there is no interest-picking option for Students/learners while onboarding in our competitors. And only one of our competitors had AI tools to help them. Two of our competitors had a progress tracker.

Define Phase
Created personas, empathy maps, and customer journey maps to understand more about the user's problems. See the Process Deck for empathy maps and personas.
Ideation Phase
Created an ecosystem to learn more about the domain, task flows to align design decisions with users’ behavior, and information architecture to understand the domain and IA, which forms the basis for the app.
Design Phase
Followed the steps below in the design phase:
Paper Sketches
Low-fidelity wireframes with variations
